Payment Policies for the 2005 IT Security Conference
The IT Security Conference has limited space available and requires
advanced facilities, catering, and vendor coordination. Because of
these unique conditions, credit card payment will be the only accepted
form of payment for the training event.
NOTE: We understand that many participants will be coming from state or
governments agencies where Purchase Orders are the normal payment
method. We are hopeful the following information will be helpful in
identifying an alternative payment method.
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully.
Credit Card payment is the only form of acceptable payment for this
event. Purchase Orders will not be accepted.
Credit Cards will not be charged until the training event has started
(April 25). Substitutions can be made at any time if the original
participant cannot attend. Registration payment is 100% refundable if
the conference is cancelled by the provider.

Below are the biographies of some of the key consultants/trainers that will be presenting at the 2005 IT Security Conference:
Joseph Dell
Joseph Dell received the B.A. degree from Emory University, Atlanta,
GA. He has eleven years of experience within the network security arena providing
both management and engineering expertise. He is currently the Chief Technology
Officer for Vigilar, Inc. headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and is responsible
for providing strategic technological direction for the company while directly
managing the nationwide team of technical experts. In addition to overseeing
proposals and consultations, he is responsible for training and managing Vigilar's
team of Sales Engineers. Mr. Dell holds responsibility for evaluating new
technologies, driving the technical creation of customized solution offerings,
and focusing security solution sets on market trend analysis. Prior to joining
Vigilar, he managed the VeriSign Professional Services Security Services division
(formerly SecureIT). He not only provides vast security knowledge but also
carries extensive experience with market leading technologies from a vast
array of vendor products. Mr. Dell is a published author of several network
security whitepapers and industry regarded articles. In addition, he speaks
nationally on the subject of information security. He holds a myriad of technical
certifications and is in the midst of writing a technical book on Information
Security.
Tanya Baccam
Tanya Baccam currently functions as the 'Information Assurance Practice
Manager' for Vigilar. She is responsible for providing penetration testing,
vulnerability and risk assessments, training and system auditing for clients.
She is also an instructor and courseware author for SANS where she addresses
topics such as perimeter protection, network auditing, web assessments, security
consulting and other areas. Her prior experience includes functioning as the
Manager of Infrastructure Security for a healthcare organization. She was
also a Manager at Deloitte & Touche in the Security Services practice
where she had the opportunity to consult with many clients about their security
architecture including topics such as perimeter security, network infrastructure
design, and database security. She also played an integral role in developing
multiple business applications. She currently holds the CPA, GCFW, GCIH, CISSP,
CISA, CCNA, MCSE, CCSE, CCSA and Oracle DBA certifications.
Robert Snowdale
As Security Engineer at Vigilar, Inc, Bob provides comprehensive
security training as well as wide-ranging consulting services. Bob has a total
of 20 years of experience in security training. He possesses extensive knowledge
in TCP/IP networking, WAN protocols, and advanced routing protocols. He provides
in depth experience in auditing, planning, designing, implementing, testing
and managing security practices. Formerly with Verisign as a senior trainer,
he has been responsible for providing security consulting and training services.
Bob's professional certifications include Check Point Certified Security Expert
(CCSE), Check Point Certified Security Instructor (CCSI), Certified Check
Point Security Engineer 4.0, 4.1, 2000 & NG, and Certified Information

Joel Hart
With over a decade of experience in the Information Technology industry,
Joel has gained experience with a wide variety of operating platforms, environments,
and regulatory requirements. Joel has extensive experience in the security
field implementing and managing firewall and VPN installations, validating
security architectures, and performing vulnerability analysis and penetration
tests to help Vigilar's clients increase awareness of potential vulnerabilities
and to formulate plans to mitigate those risks identified. As a Senior Security
Engineer with Vigilar, he provides security training and consulting to various
clients throughout the U.S. Prior to working with Vigilar, Joel has held numerous
security consulting roles including acting as Lead Technical Trainer at HANIS
Network and Security Solutions as well as holding the role of Security Consultant
at VeriSign, Inc. He has taught many industry recognized security certification
tracks as well as developing custom security courseware for various clients'
training needs. Joel holds a Bachelors of Science in Information Systems from
Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA. Professional certifications include:

Tunji Ajigbeda
As Practice Manager for Perimeter Security at Vigilar, Inc, Tunji
provides on-site and off-site consulting and training services. He has eleven
years of information security and engineering experience. He provides not
only a vast security knowledge but also extensive experience with Nokia, Solaris
and NT platforms. Formerly with Diginexo, Inc.(a VeriSign Affiliate), International
Business Group and Emory Children's Center- Department of Medical Informatics,
Tunji has been responsible for developing, designing and deploying enterprise-wide
security solutions including those requiring advanced knowledge of cryptography
and PKI. Tunji's professional certifications include Microsoft Certified Professional

Eric Ahlm
Mr. Ahlm is a security focused engineer currently working for Vigilar,
Inc. Eric’s primary role is to evaluate new security technologies and
consult with clients who are looking to solve security challenges. During
his nine years in information technology, five of which were dedicated to
information security, Mr. Ahlm has achieved numerous vendor and security certifications,
including his CISSP in 2001. During his career, Eric has had white papers
published on security topics, been a keynote speaker at numerous security
conferences, been quoted in security magazines and has consulted with some
of the top companies in the United States. Eric’s key area of interest
and study is in hacking techniques and penetration testing where he enjoys
working with security professionals to discover new exploits and uses proof
of concept tools to help clients tighten their security.
James DeLuccia
James received a double B.A. degree from The University of Georgia,
Athens GA; focusing on Risk Management and Information Systems. He has seven
years of experience within the network security arena providing engineering,
consultative, and management expertise developed in the field. Currently as
Practice Manager of Policy and Compliance for Vigilar, Inc. headquartered
in Atlanta, Georgia he is responsible for providing strategic guidance and
tactical deployments for clients within the security regulatory market. Mr.
DeLuccia’s expertise concern the leveraging of existing technology and
business objectives cohesively bringing these together while satisfying legislative
and competitive requirements. In addition, he is tasked with managing enterprise
engagements and ensuring comprehensive delivery of solutions. Mr. DeLuccia
holds responsibility for evaluating, measuring, and driving new technologies
to satisfy client requirements ensuring services balance business and security.
Prior to joining Vigilar, he previously oversaw the technical development
of engineers, and managed projects under consultative divisions of VeriSign
and NBG. He not only provides vast security knowledge but also carries extensive
experience with market leading technologies from vendors such as Check Point,
Nokia, ISS and Cisco. Mr. DeLuccia is a published author of several network
security white papers, several industry recognized training courses, and has
delivered extensively across the globe on security related topics. He holds
the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified
Check Point Security Administrator (CCSA), Expert (CCSE) and Instructor (CCSI)
certifications. He is presently working with global industry groups developing
security initiatives and practical procedures to holistically comply with
current regulatory requirements and deliver security relative to organizational

John Kindervag
John Kindervag is a 20-year veteran of the high-technology world.
He has been involved with a variety of engineering projects ranging from basic
LAN networking to sophisticated Microwave and Satellite Technology. John is
a CISSP, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and an ISS Certified Engineer
(ICE), who has particular expertise in the areas of Vulnerability Assessment,
Intrusion Detection, and Public Key Infrastructure and Cryptographic Systems.
He also speaks to user groups and technology associations on various security
topics.
