Tom West is President and Chief Executive Officer of National LambdaRail, a major initiative of U.S. research universities and private sector technology companies to provide a national scale infrastructure for research and experimentation in networking technologies and applications.
Prior to his position with National LambdaRail, West served as the President and Chief Executive Officer for CENIC (Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California) from 1999 to 2003, guiding the development and deployment of an advanced services network for higher education in that state. He has served as a small college president, as a vice chancellor for administration for regional campuses in a public university system, and for 26 years as the Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) for two large public university systems-Indiana University (1973-1981) and the California State University (1981-1999).
West has been actively involved in national research and education networking in the United States for nearly two decades, including the NSFNET in the mid-1980s during the original round of Internet development. He also was a leader in the formation of Internet2 during the 1990s as a member of EDUCOM's (now EDUCAUSE) National Telecommunications Task Force. He has been involved in the development of information technology at state government level, serving as a member of the Governor's Information Technology Commission in California.
West has been recognized by his colleagues for his IT leadership. In 1990, he was named the first recipient of the CAUSE ELITE Award. Over the years, West has served as an advisor and consultant to a number of other higher education institutions and systems, private corporations and state governments.

John McCumber Symantec |

John McCumber is a strategic program manager in the Public Sector Group of Symantec Corporation. He is currently involved in research and development activities in support of leading edge government information assurance initiatives. John is a retired US Air Force officer and former Cryptologic Fellow of the National Security Agency. During his military career, John also served in the Defense Information Systems Agency and on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon as Information Warfare Officer during the Persian Gulf War. In addition to his professional responsibilities at Symantec Corporation, John is currently a Professorial Lecturer in Information Security at The George Washington University in Washington, DC and is technical editor and a monthly columnist for Security Technology and Design magazine. John is the author of Assessing and Managing Security Risk in IT Systems: a Structured Methodology from Auerbach Publications. He lives in Oakton, Virginia and Cary, North Carolina.

Ron Wessel Solutions Marketing Director with ActivCard |

Mr. Wessels' people and communication skills have been cultivated through managing creative, marketing, sales, and strategic teams and the delivery of hundreds of presentations to groups of 20 to over 2,000 people, from analysts and investment bankers to top-tier industry conference events.
Ron currently serves ActivCard in a solutions marketing role focused on enterprise single sign-on and IBM partner solutions. Prior to ActivCard, he founded Kynergy LLC, a marketing and strategic business development consulting practice, in March 2001. Kynergy successfully delivered strategic sales and marketing consulting for publicly traded and privately held companies, as well as, secured funding for start-ups, delivered multi-million dollar initial contract sales and provided guidance through product and service offering launch.
Ron served as the vice president of sales and marketing for Starwire, a Sequoia Capitol backed network ASP, from 1999-2001, where he successfully planned and executed the marketing plan and rollout of a robust syndicated network ASP and content management system. From 1994-1999 he served CKS and USWeb/CKS, a leading Integrated Marketing and Professional Services company, as Director and then General Manager of Onsite Services. At CKS, Ron took Onsite Services from concept to strategy to launch and then to a successful $10 million dollar business unit.
Prior to joining CKS he was the president and owner of a Sacramento-based professional services agency, which did both, network implementation/optimization and advertising/marketing communications. Ron is a business leader, a salesman and marketer as well as a technologist with experiences including: Fortran (keypunch) programming in 1972 to database publishing technologies at USWeb/CKS.
Ron has done strategic sales, business development, operational planning and marketing to and for top-tier brands including: Microsoft, Symantec, Electronic Arts, Cisco Systems, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, FileMaker, Visa International and others.
Mr. Wessels holds a B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of California, Berkeley, an M.C.S. from New College, Berkeley, and a M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena. Ron currently serves on board of directors of two privately held Silicon Valley companies.

Director, OU Cyber Forensics Lab, Calvin holds several certifications
including; Certified Information System Manager (CISM), Certified
Information System Security Professional (CISSP), and EnCase Computer
Forensics Examiner (EnCE). Calvin is the Vice-President of the local
chapter of the High Technology Computer Investigators Association. He is
also an active member and co-chair of the EDUCAUSE Security Task Force
Education & Awareness Working Group.
Calvin has been involved in the computer and communication technology
for over 22 years and the past 12 years in computer, network, and
electronic media security. He is a certified Police Officer and has been
involved with Law Enforcement, investigations, and security for over 16.
He has held a Top Secret position in the Federal Government, securing
top secret information. Calvin has also worked with the state, local,
and private sectors in Oklahoma. He has had training by government
agencies in securing and protecting PC's, servers, networks, and data.
Calvin specializes in computer and cyber forensics, incident response,
securing; web solutions, servers, PC's, networks, applications, and
databases both at the physical level and the electronic level.
Calvin's security focus is on cyber forensics / security research and
development, computer / network forensics, incident response, technology
security, state and federal computer crime laws, security planning,

Archie Reed is Director of Strategy for Hewlett Packard Company where he provides strategic technology direction for OpenView's Identity Management products, including creation of business alliances, participation in industry organizations, and promotion of Identity Management in the marketplace. A respected authority within the identity management industry, Archie has held executive positions with TruLogica, a provisioning vendor acquired by HP, and with Critical Path, a global software, services and hosting business. Archie is the author of several books on security and IT, including the recent e-book "The Definitive Guide to Identity Management" (Realtimepublishers, 2003).

Drawing on over 7 years of experience in the Service and Support
industry, Jason Hopwood is a valuable conduit between FrontRange
Solutions, their partners and customers. Prior to joining FrontRange,
Jason helped lead support initiatives at Microsoft, AOL and Sears. Later
he helped found a progressive ecommerce company that was later acquired
by FrontRange. Today Jason is responsible for the technical development
of all FrontRange partners in North America. His charter includes
helping to recruit, train and retain top tier partners. With a strong

Infrastructure Library) compatibility Jason helps his partners help

Peter Schawacker, technical evangelist and product marketing manager for McAfee IntruShield, has more than ten years of technical experience in network solutions, information technology security, network performance and integration, e-learning solutions, as well as management and consulting. Prior to joining McAfee, Inc., Mr. Schawacker held technical positions where he focused on information technology security services, network solutions, enterprise management, research & development program management, and has provided professional consulting services. Mr. Schawacker has worked for NFR Security and Internet Security Systems and has had the distinction of running the Citigroup's first network intrusion detection systems in the late 1990's as well as heading up their enterprise vulnerability scanning operations. Mr. Schawacker is a CISSP and is a member of the Los Angeles chapters of ISSA and ISACA.

Robb Boyd, CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) is currently working as a Security Specialized Channel Manager for Cisco Systems. In this role, he is responsible for the education & awareness of Cisco's Security Channel partners for Cisco products as well as security technologies in general. This is Robb's 5th year with Cisco Systems. Robb spent several years growing the security specialization space for Cisco's field offices in Texas and five surrounding states prior to doing the same thing for the channels operation.

Erkan Chase is the Unit Chief of the Criminal Computer Intrusion Unit at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. He attended Binghamton University in New York and received degrees in Industrial Engineering and Sociology with a minor in Business. He worked in investment banking on Wall Street at Manufactures Hanover Bank, as a Probation Officer for the City of New York, and as a Detective with the New York City Police Department.
As a FBI Agent, he was assigned to the New York Division to work White Collar Crime and the Detroit Division to work Cyber Crimes. He was promoted to FBI Headquarters as a Supervisory Special Agent in the Computer Intrusion Unit. He later received another promotion to the Unit Chief of the Criminal Computer Intrusion Unit for the FBI where he currently serves.
