OU's 2005 IT Symposium will feature speakers and presentations in three main tracks: Security, Emerging Technologies and Grid Computing. Participants can choose to attend all the presentations in one track or pick and choose based on their interests.

The Universities of the Big 12 have partnered with Vigilar, Inc. http://www.vigilar.com to offer the 2005 IT Security Conference, (April 25-27, 2005) - a security training workshop opportunity that would normally cost over $3500.
Through this strategic education alliance, the 2005 IT Security Conference, organized by the Universities of the Big 12, has been developed and is being offered at a significant savings to participants. Early Bird Registration, before March 15, 2005, is only $599 ($999 for non-academic participants). NOTE: Academic pricing applies to all current faculty, staff and students of accredited institutions. After March 15th, the prices will be $899 for academic participants and $1399 (for non-academic participants) you will receive the following:
- Three security certification track options to choose from, covering three days of classroom instruction:
- Free admission to the 2005 IT Spring Symposium, which will focus on Security, Emerging Technologies, Project/Portfolio Management, Wireless & Web Applications, and will be held in Norman, on Thursday, April 28th, at the NCED Training Center on Highway 9 East.
- Monday and Tuesday Dinner provided during Birds of a Feather Sessions
- Free admission to the 2005 IT Spring Symposium Welcome & Vendor Networking Reception during the evening of Wednesday, April 27, 2005
- Lunch for four days
- All instructional materials provided.
- Free parking for the entire event.
- For Universities, for every 10 public "seats" sold, the University will receive two "university seats" for free.
